Many quality assurance systems require that calibrated and certified thermometers be used where accurate measurements are of importance. PTC® has calibrated thermometers for over 60 years and is now accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL, Z540-1. Please download our scope of our accreditation from A2LA. 

Several levels of calibration services available from PTC Metrology™ to conform to your quality system requirements. PTC® recommends 3 point calibration as a minimum on surface thermometers. 
This certification will contain the as received and as returned calibration results of the UUT at 3 points across the UUT's temperature scale. In addition to the readings, certification will include laboratory conditions, information on the primary standards and a statement of uncertainty. Add NIST/A2LA (ISO 17025) Certification 3 Logged Points PTC®'s Choosing (between ambient and 390°C) 

Certifications will include; as received and as returned data; a statement of uncertainty; laboratory conditions; and information on the primary standards.

For temperature comparison calibrations, PTC Metrology™ uses primarily Hart Scientific baths, blocks and a Hart furnace. We use several different techniques to minimize uncertainties while maximizing efficiency to keep the costs as low as possible without compromising quality. PTC Metrology™ is the laboratory of choice for many of our customers because they know that they can depend on us for correct, complete, and on-time calibrations at reasonable prices. 

NIST/A2LA (ISO 17025) Certification 3 Logged Points PTC®'s Choosing (between ambient and 400°C) 

This certification will satisfy most quality requirements by providing NIST traceable as received and as returned calibration results of the UUT (unit under test). The calibration points will be of PTC®'s choice and will include three points across the UUT's scale. In addition to the readings, certifications will include a statement of uncertainty, laboratory conditions, and information on the primary standards.

Tech Note on ASTM Thermometers 
 PTC Metrology™ will examine and calibrate your ASTM Thermometer against NIST traceable standards at temperature points specified by ASTM E1 Table 1. The thermometers will be calibrated at the specified temperature in accordance with Test Method E-77. PTC Metrology™ is accredited by A2LA to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1.
